July 14, 2010

I'm not even sure where to begin. Summer has been great, but is going by way to fast. The kids only have 8 weeks off of school this year. They are enjoying their time they get to spend with their dad, since during the school year they only see him for about an hour and a half in the mornings. They are outside pretty much all day playing. They are so TAN. I'm still a whitey. Rhiannon got an 8 foot vinyl swimming pool for her birthday. It is perfect or them. They lay in it and float around. Lillyanne refuses to keep a hat on her head. She hates anything on her head. Headbands only last a few minutes. So even though she has sunscreen on we try to limit her time in the sun. She is so much lighter than the other two. Lighter hair, eyes and skin.

Rhiannon lost her 7th tooth and Lillyanne got her first this past week. Lillyanne is also really trying to walk. She took 8 steps at church and then she keeps trying at home. She is very determined.
Shawn called me at work today. Very sad. Broke my heart. He was crying and just said he wanted me to come home. That he missed me. Not sure if he was tired from staying up late last night or if he truly missed me. Mike said nothing happened but he just was eating his lunch and started to cry. These kinds of things make me really miss being at home and resent the fact that I have to work.

Rhiannon's birthday party went great. We had about 7 kids show up. It was perfect. The party was at my parents house. I wish I took pictures of the entry way when the kids walked in. But a picture would not have done it justice.  My dad decorated it. It was all dark and had a spooky man's head and arms that would raise up and down on the the wall when motion was detected. It had creepy music. There where lights and a witch. It was very haunted looking. He had his haunted house sound effects playing in the background. The backyard we put up black and orange streamers with black and orange balloons, and a few other halloween decoration. The biggest accomplishments of the party for us where the haunted house cake my mom and I made and the pinata my dad did. AWESOME. We didn't want to break the pinata. My dad is so creative.

I am seeing an acupuncturist, thanks to a few of you who suggested it after my last post. I have had two treatments so far. Both acupuncturists there reviewed my case and said I am the worst case they have seen, with my symptoms of headaches, stomachaches, inability to lose weight and my super duper sensitivity to smells. Many smells (smoke, perfume, ect...)  will give me a migraine instantly. So they determined I might have a toxic overload and possible food sensitivities. So now I have to eat a diet that is dairy free, gluten free and sugar free. I have no idea what to do with it. They gave me a list of foods I can eat that need to be organic, but I have no idea how to creatively prepare these foods so they are appealing or taste good. I'm only about a week into it so not sure if this will help or not. But I really hope so. It is better than being handed a prescription and not finding the root of the problem.

Life is good. We just had family visiting for the past few weeks which was very nice to see everybody. The kids have had a great time playing with cousins, uncles and aunts.
The Haunted House cake.

There is a candy ghost on top and candy zombie hands coming out of the ground. We made both with Airheads. Same with the pumpkins. We used starbursts and and airheads.

The PINATA. Isn't this cool.

Toothy Grin. Showing off her lost tooth.

Rhiannon trying to eat with two little beggars.

Shawn came out of his room with his underwear looking like he was wearing a diaper under it.

He had 7 pairs of underwear under it.
Lately he like to be George of the Jungle so he is always wearing underwear and a tooth necklace.

Lillyanne walking.

There are lots more pictures in the slide show if you want to see more.
