Rhiannon picked out their clothes this day so they could be "Twins" |
Christmas Tree Decorating
Rhiannon was in the Elementary Honors Choir and they had quite a few holiday performances. One was at the Valhalla Holiday fair, other schools, the tree lighting and Mont Bleu Casino. This particular photo was at the tree lighting. The photo performances did not come out good.
After Rhiannon's singing we watched the tree lighting and went on a sleigh ride threw dirt. (No snow)
Then the kid sat on Santa's lap and made their Christmas requests. Lillyanne would not have anything to do with him.
It has been a Christmas tradition since Rhiannon was maybe 2 to do Gingerbread houses with Grandma. This year they made a train.
One evening she grabbed her pillow, blanket and doll and just laid down on the kitchen floor. She does this sometimes will just make a bed anywhere and lay down.
Lunar Eclipse. We woke really early when the lunar eclipse happened and drove down the street to see it better.
Christmas Eve. It has been a tradition in my family since I was very little, my brothers and I would build a blanket fort on Christmas eve and sleep in it. My kids have now been doing it for years as well. They love it. Here they are writing their letters to Santa.

Ready for church Christmas morning |
The kids just had their Christmas break, two weeks off of school. We have NO snow so they played in the back yard, got their bikes out and played tether ball.
Lillyanne is so tiny and has no butt what so ever. We are constantly telling her to pull up her pants. She looks like a little rapper with her sag and underwear hanging out.
This year has been a strange one for the holidays. They approached fast but didn't feel like the holiday. With Christmas we had no snow. I really do not remember a Christmas here in Tahoe with no snow. Plus the kids did not get out of school till two days before Christmas and every single day approaching seemed to be filled with some sort of activity which made us really busy and me stressed.
Rhiannon was in the schools honor choir and did great. She has a great voice and the teacher was amazed with her musical talent. Plus they really counted on her being their because she knew all the moves and all the words. They put her right up front. She was really sick the day of the first big performance at the casino and the teacher was very stressed she might not be there. But she made it after sleeping in bed all day.
She really LOVES school, more so the socialization. These past two weeks of no school she could not wait to go back and see her friends.
Shawn is such a BOY with a big huge heart. He is very creative with loads of energy. I'm glad we didn't have snow in our back yard these past few weeks because I think he would have gone really crazy being indoors for the two weeks. He could not wait to go back to school either. He loves school and is doing really well.
Lillyanne is such a ham, she loves to tease. Most pictures she poses with her mouth open or tongue out. (Sound like anybody? JAMES) She is really talking so much more and in sentences. She loves to play with the kids and do whatever they are doing. She is probably the only sad one that the kids are back in school. She is still between 20 and 21 pounds. She is skinny. We have a mitten clip that holds her pants on tighter around her waste. Her waste and butt size is like a 9 month clothing size but if we buy clothes in that size the length is to short and look like capris on her. She does eat quite a bit. She sometimes eats better than the other two. They are starting to influence her eating though. She used to eat lots of different vegetables that the other two would not eat and they say EWE and she won't eat it anymore.
