Once again a lot has happened since my last post.
Shawn turned 5. He wanted to go to the Corley Ranch again. Last year when we went it was sunny and hot. This year when we went it was cloudy and freezing cold. The kids always have fun running through the mazes. The corn maze was dinky this year. We went on a hay-ride and watched the pig race. Their favorite thing is petting the animals and feeding them. Lillyanne growls at the animals it is really funny. Her signing is getting really good. She really knows alot I had no idea. Shawn wanted to have his birthday at the same place grandma’s birthday party was at. John and Cindy’s house. Ever since Grandma’s surprise party he just loved that house. Every person that came through the door he had to take on a tour. Then he asked Cindy if he could have his birthday there too. It was all set to have the birthday there and that week Mike’s boss scheduled him to work that day and the timing did not allow for it to work out. Shawn is funny. I asked him if he was okay not having a lot of friends over for a birthday party and he said yes because he does not like being around a bunch of people. Every year we alternate. One year is a birthday party year and the next we do something fun as a family. (Rhiannon would rather have a party with friends every year.) For Shawn’s birthday he wanted an Ironman cake. My mom and I were going to make it but that week was so insane we just bought it. One time while we were shopping Shawn saw these boxes. Foot stools that you can store things in. Ever since then he wanted that for his birthday. He got two. Rhiannon asked for the other. He is so nice that he said she could have it. He gave away his birthday present minutes after unwrapping it.
They had a long Halloween weekend. On Friday night they had a Harvest Festival at their school. Then a Trunk or Treat at the Church on Saturday night and Trick or Treating on Sunday. They scored with a lot of candy, in which they ate a lot of. We had a few nights of candy nights, they ate all the candy they wanted and watched movies. Rhiannon was a zombie, Shawn was Ironman and Lillyanne was a witch.
Shawn and Rhiannon are taking swim lessons again. They love it. It gives them something to do rather than be couped in the house during the winter time. Lillyanne loves water. She loves taking a bath and loves playing in the dog bowl. So taking her to the pool is hard because she wants to go play in it. The kids are getting better and better at swimming. It is really fun to watch them.
All the kids really like to draw and color. So they spend a lot of time coloring in the room or on the floor. They all play really well together for the most part. Lillyanne loves when they come home from school and wants to be near them so bad. But when they come home they start their homework. Lillyanne goes to where Rhiannon is doing her homework climbs up steals her homework and runs away with it. We have decided that Rhiannon will do her homework after Shawn and Lillyanne go to bed.
Lillyanne has found some blue beads that she loves to wear she wants to wear them all the time. She loves the sit and spin and loves to dance. Anytime she hears music she starts to dance. During the day Mike will play music for her so she can dance.
The kids are doing great in school and having fun. Mike and I are keeping busy with work. I just took my final yesterday so I am on a break for three weeks from school. I am in the process of trying to enroll in other colleges so I can take my final two classes so I can graduate in June, fingers crossed.
